About Us
Concept
Which is why we feel we are to some extent the inhabitants of places in the world, where, in addition to designing and realizing architectural buildings, we have had the privilege to find new friends.
Over the years our profession has changed because some important projects have given us the opportunity to broaden our knowledge and share human and professional experiences which both enrich and develop our own.
We have found ourselves inside realities which, owing to their location, history and culture, are really rather unusual compared to our everyday opportunities for design and creation. Genuine challenges where the responsibility of moving in different cultural environments is matched by our enthusiasm in proposing our own very personal way of seeing things.
IDxEA was established to play a leading role in this new dimension, where the Italian approach – that Italian design which is the essence of our thousand-year history of creativity and know-how – is able to inspire international concepts with unexpected forms. And in this way, IDxEA gives rise to new architecture, the requalification of disused buildings, thus guaranteeing a future for the monumental and historical heritage of each country’s past.
We want to listen to people and places, understand their soul and experience them with the curiosity of someone who wants to understand their true nature: taking inspiration from a sign, a material, a form, a concept and developing a proposal where the spaces are the result of the genius loci and our experience. We let the project stem from the place and the environment suggest the construction.
In this way interpretation becomes the alphabet of a new design language, where the concept meets the functional and representative needs and becomes a space for life, work and living.
We have discovered that what fascinates the world about Italy is our way of being, our way of designing, our looking for beauty in function and always seeking and finding the way to resolve a problem with passion. Italian culture is the labour of every day, technical ability, inventiveness, our history which distinguishes us and an openness towards other cultures: all characteristics that we want to express in the architectural design which is born of our experience, enthusiasm and creativity.
